Casinacho Games: a week with the pocket arcade
I'll be honest, I didn't expect much from Casinacho Games when I first installed it. The screenshots looked like a dozen other arcade bundles. But it turned out to be a reliable little time-filler that I kept coming back to.
The core is a set of short mini-games — reaction taps, dodging runs, a couple of rhythm bits. Each round lasts well under a minute, which makes it ideal for those awkward gaps while you wait for a kettle to boil or a bus to arrive.
Controls are the thing that made me stick around. They're responsive and read your taps cleanly, so when I lost it felt like my mistake rather than the game's. That matters more than people give it credit for.
If I had one wish, it'd be more variety in the later stages. Play a long stretch and the mini-games start to blur together. A fresh mechanic or two would stretch the appeal a lot further.
As it stands, Casinacho Games is a tidy, cheerful distraction. It's not deep, it doesn't pretend to be, and for quick breaks it does the job well.
